#Breckenridge Kingdom Days Coming Up!
Don’t miss the seventh annual celebration of Breckenridge’s colorful history, “Kingdom Days” coming up June 15-16th. The name “Kingdom Days” has a bit of a story itself, because the town of Breckenridge was left off of maps until 1936, thus calling it “Colorado’s Kingdom. It wasn’t until the summer of 1936 that Breckenridge was officially welcomed into the nation as the Town of Breckenridge.
Kingdom Days celebrates Breckenridge’s historic mining heritage in as colorful a manner as the town began, with events such as Outhouse Races, a Wild West shootout on Mainstreet, and the Saloon Tour. The weekend festivities kick off with National Repertory Orchestra performs an opening night concert; the Breckenridge Fun Park officially opens for summer and the gondola begins full-time summer operations. Lots of free family fun activities, and a great way to spend Father’s Day weekend!
Because we are sure you are going to fall in love with the town while you visit, we invite you to take a tour of Grand Lodge on Peak 7, a world class resort nestled at the bottom of Peak 7 with stunning views and ski in, ski out access to the mountains.
